I’m all behind with the whole state thing again, so here’s a little contest for you. First person to leave me a comment with their state of choice, wins. Okay, when I say “wins” there isn’t a prize or anything fancy like that, I’m not Ed Goddamn McMahon, you just get to choose the state. I’m mean like that. So let’s hear it. There’re about 40 left to choose from and I can’t make a decision to save my life today, so hit me with it. I might also say something nice about you. How’s that? No?
I found it hilarious but then it was that dodgy drunk period I was going through…
Also?
And:
You: What did YOU do Saturday night, Veg?
You: I was busy having a life.
Me: I’m sorry, I don’t know what that means.
States. Now.
I would LOVE to hear what you say about Vermont!
ReplyDeleteDo I win?
As a matter of fact, Annie, you do! Congratulations! Wow what a wonderful prize of nothing you get. :) Thank you though. VERMONT it IS.
ReplyDeletebest. prize. ever.
ReplyDelete....i've never won anything before...
It's kind of sad because you still sort of HAVEN'T :)
ReplyDeleteWait...A couple of weeks ago I whined for you to do CT and I'm trying to forget your response because I think you said no. I'll try again CONNECTICUT, CONNECTICUT, CONNECTICUT. YAY CONNECTICUT!
ReplyDeleteYay, TOO LATE! :)
ReplyDeleteI forgot ok. I forgot. Annie gets Vermont then....well I can't do New England two weeks running can I? Of course I can, who gives a rats ass? Next time ok? Jeeze Louise.
BAHHHH! the tracy morgan/ hippo-manatee-whaever-the-fuck-it-is is spot on. they're both so cute.
ReplyDeleteThat would be a HIPPO, dude. :) But I saw it and I went "OMFG. Tracy!" :)
ReplyDeleteand Veg Ass, just because CT is a small state, we are NOT a suburb of NYC as many people would tell me.
ReplyDeleteHoly shit woman, I haven't even DONE it yet and you're telling me off. P.S. (it totally is)
ReplyDeleteYour keen eye for celebrity lookalikes is absolutely amazing.
ReplyDeleteI'm detecting more than a faint hint of sarcasm there, Vinny me boy...
ReplyDeleteuhhh.........so on with Vermont...lets hear it Veggie..
ReplyDeleteI once knew a woman from Vermont that picked up and left her husband and kids....She was doing the single life in Colorado whilst her hubby and babes were in the Vermont woods....awaiting her to come to her senses......She was a wacko
Heeheehee! That was a Saturday night well spent :-) Why no Charlie Sheen one though?
ReplyDeleteJayne: Really? She sounds so sane, though. :)
ReplyDeleteNat: Well once I find an animal batshit insane enough to look like him, I'll add him! :)
Quick, tell me about Uranus!!! No wait, that's a planet, not a state. Oops, I was too late anyhow.
ReplyDeleteUm, 'Sasquatchewan'? Is that a state? :)
HAHAHA, Okay I admit I guffawed. Those damn sasquatches naming provinces after themselves. I've been snow mobiling in Saskatchewan and I have yet to see a damn Sasquatch. I'm starting to think there's no relation... :)
ReplyDeleteNo doubt those celebrities feel incredibly honored by your comparisons ; )
ReplyDeleteHonestly, Empress, would I not make a fabulous Publicist?
ReplyDeleteDarn, I'm too late! I wanted you to pick Maine!
ReplyDeleteWell on the upside, I will eventually! And Vermont is one of your almost neighbours. :)
ReplyDeletePSS - It is a state! Really, we may be one big parking lot, but we are a state damn it! :-)
ReplyDelete*Pats you on head* Of course you are, honey. Of course you are.
ReplyDeleteWow...those pictures. Yes. Wow.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure you're not thinking of calling the authorities in the white coats judging by that tone of voice, missy.
ReplyDeleteOh please do Illinois - we need some respect after our bleeping Rod Blagojevich. Oh don't worry you don't need to know how to say his name (it's pronounced bleeping dirt now a days). But we have Chi town and memories of the Blues Brothers - it's a great place.
ReplyDeleteOh I will be getting to Illinois, no worries. It's on my list. Well they all are, really. :)
ReplyDeleteNorthern Territory! Northern Territory! Oh damn, you wanted a state. Oh well, maybe next time. What's that? Oh, you want an AMERICAN state. Well, say so, next time, I'm not a mind reader.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, Tenny, one day. There's a whole world of possibilities. :)
ReplyDeleteWhen you are finished with the states, can you do all of the Kingdoms?
ReplyDeleteNiiiiccceeee!!!! I actually hope you do more celeb/animal look-alike posts, or at the very least excerpts within posts. No seriously, they make me laugh. DO IT! (Ben Stiller voice)
ReplyDeletethose pics are totally stupid. (in a good way like totally dope.) let me explain ... you managed to find stupid ass grin, stupefied, and stupid douchey tizzy fit in celebrity-animal pairs. there should be a prize for YOU!
ReplyDeleteI don't know which is weirder...those downright uncanny celeb/animal photo matches...or the amount of free time you have to find shit like that.
ReplyDeleteIt's a toss up really.
I was so close to winning? My state would be Theta
ReplyDeletetracy morgan-hippo? i think that means YOU WIN! (that's exactly what it means)
ReplyDeleteHow about a state of altered consciousness?
ReplyDeleteAnd...your celebrity look-alikes are absolutely FAB! If I were not so incredibly lazy, I would try something like that myself.
I second Tennysoneehemingway, I don't care if it's not in the US, I lived in the freak show that is the NT for 7yrs. I still have nightmares.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I discovered that I can fit an entire Malteaser in my belly button this weekend, so I think I may trump your exhaustive search for crazy animal-celebrity look-a-likes.
Heheheheheh
ReplyDeleteOk, the-dude-from-Harry Potter/guinea pig one is my fave. Cuz I love those movies, and I used to run a guinea pig rescue. (What? That's TOTALLY normal.)
Love it!!! Looks like a fun way to spend a drunken Sat evening Veg! ;o)
ReplyDeleteCan you do English counties? Lincolnshire please.
ReplyDeleteSkypop: Aren't you fancy? :)
ReplyDeleteJ: I enjoy it. Maybe someone could pay me just to find celebrity/animal look a likes. That'd be nice. For me.
Patty: Yes. Where's my prize? I want a prize.
Ed: It's a tie. But I fully admit there are better ways to spend a Saturday night, it's just that this Saturday? There wasn't. OK? Ok.
Manager: Oh dear. :) Not even close to winning.
Becky: I think so too. They could be twins. How could anyone not see that? Really!
Madam: Do it! It's not hard. You just see some weird looking animal and you'll be all "Oh! Definitely Tom Baker!" Yes I just went back to the 80s.
Rusty: You Aussies are insistent. :) I have to learn more about the characteristics of those states first then I MIGHT one day tackle them as long as I get a free pass to use "Neighbours" words. :)
Mama: He really does though. Except he's odd looking and guinea pigs are cute. Still works though.
Cris: Thank you! I thought so! :)
Trish: Oh my. I'll be doing the whole world next. Lincolnshire. It has Lincoln prison and uh...fields. I don't know. Hmmm.
Fields. Yup, that just about covers it. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteBut I am gonna assume that sitting at home playing around in photoshop and googling images isn't so bad at all, especially since you weren't hangover like a motherfucker the following sunday.
ReplyDeleteSo worth it. Besides, photoshopping rules.
Trish: Fields. :) And roads. And Lincoln.
ReplyDeleteWynn: Yeah! I was being creative. Nothing wrong with that, right?
Being creative is ALWAYS awesome! No matter the outcome!
ReplyDeleteHa, you are RIGHT! :) (I hope)
ReplyDeleteCan't. Stop, Staring. At. Pictures.
ReplyDeleteAmazing.....
Betty: Hahahaha, you're all, "How come I never noticed the astounding similarity between Tracy Morgan and a hippo before?" :)
ReplyDeleteWould love you to visit new Zealand and do that one! I think I might have gone to Vermont as a 17 year old exchange student with my host family - Sugarbush - and paid loads money is ski in arctic conditions. Also yes the world is so much prettier in my head too...and so am I...(sigh) mirrors kill it all.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, aren't we all! I'd love to visit NZ. I have a ton of family there on the South Island so really I should. Then write ridiculous things about it. :)
ReplyDeleteBwah! The guinea pig!
ReplyDeleteIt's just so uncanny. They are one and the same. :)
ReplyDeleteTracy Morgan always looked like some kind of animal, but I could never pinpoint it. The hippo picture is perfect.
ReplyDeleteShannon: See, now you need wonder no more! That'll be fifty bucks please. :)
ReplyDeleteCan't. Stop. Laughing. Loudly.
ReplyDeleteDamn you, you're going to get me in trouble with my neighbors again!
fuck me, marzipan ice cream! Hell yes!
ReplyDeleteCora: It's true though, right? They're twins! :)
ReplyDeleteLlara: I know! It's the best. And even though you commented on the wrong entry, I forgive you because you have taste. :)
LMAO!
ReplyDeleteI needed that. Aaahhh.
I hear there is a pic of Sarah Palin riding on a donkey backwards somewhere online. Or maybe it's just another of your clever comparisons?
If I wasn't so lazy, Chef, I'd point out that Sarah Palin IS a donkey - not even a donkey but an ASS. Oh wait, I just did. There you go then! :)
ReplyDeleteLlara: HELL YES INDEED. If you don't enjoy marzipan you are missing a chromosome, I always say. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for Tracy Morgan and the hippo to be in a buddy cop movie together.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love your new font!
Now that movie would ROCK. If "rock" meant "suck" :). Yes, the font is cute no? Just plain old Century Gothic, dude. I wanted a change.
ReplyDelete
